Coolpad Note 5 with Snapdragon 617 SoC, 4GB RAM launched at Rs. 10,999

Coolpad has launched a new smartphone called the Note 5. Priced at Rs. 10,999, the metal unibody phone will be available exclusively via Amazon. The device features a 5.5-inch Full HD display and is powered by a 1.5GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 617 with 4GB of RAM. It sports 13MP and 8MP cameras, and runs Android Marshmallow with the company’s own CoolUI layered over it. The Coolpad Note 5 is equipped with a 4010mAh battery, and offers 32GB of storage that can be expanded by up to 128GB. The phone also comes with a fingerprint sensor and supports VoLTE.
At this price, the Coolpad Note 5 will be up against the likes of the Xiaomi Redmi 3S Prime and it’s bigger brother, the Redmi Note 3 (2GB RAM). The 3S prime sports a smaller 5-inch HD display, and is powered by a Snapdragon 430 SoC with 3GB of RAM. The Note 3 however, is powered by a Snapdragon 650 SoC with 2GB of RAM and sports a 5.5-inch Full HD display. The Xiaomi Redmi 3S Prime and the Redmi Note 3 (2GB RAM) variant are priced at Rs. 8,999 and Rs. 9,999 respectively.
