All three phones will be available in north and west India via retails stores and customers can also buy the phones online through multiple ecommerce websites.

All three new Comio phones are powered by the MediaTek 6737 SoC. This 1.3GHz quad-core SoC has been around for quite some time now and was earlier seen on the Samsung Galaxy J2 Prime as well as the Nokia 3. All three phones support dual-SIMs and are 4G VoLTE compatible. Things change beyond that as the more affordable Comio C1 features 1GB of RAM and 32GB of storage. It comes with a 5-inch display with a 1280 x 720p resolution. The device has an 8MP camera at the back and a 5MP camera at the front. It is kept running by a 2200mAh battery.

The Comio C2, on the other hand, is more focused on providing a better battery life and thus packs a large 4000mAh battery. The phone come with 2GB RAM and 16GB of internal storage. The display is again a 5-inch panel with 720p resolution. On the camera front, you have a 8MP camera at the rear and an 8MP selfie cam.

The Comio S1 is a slightly bigger device with a 5.2-inch display offering a 720p resolution. You get 2GB of RAM  and 32GB of storage on this phone. The phone has a metal unibody and it also rocks a fingerprint scanner at the front. The phone carries a 2700mAh battery and features a 13MP camera at the rear. On the front, the phone offers an 8MP camera.

It is to be noted that Comio introduced the C1 and the S1 earlier this year with slightly different specifications. Now, the phones have been updated.

Comio has added anti-theft features on all three phones. So, in case of a suspicious activity an alert SMS is sent to the registered mobile number. There is another feature which clicks the image of the person who tries to unlock the phone with a wrong pin or pattern. More importantly, Comio is assembling these devices here in India and aims to assemble almost one million devices in the next six months. The company plans to strengthen brand presence with a strong network of 30,000 retailers, 800 distributors and 800+ after-sales touch points catering to 500-550 towns.

“Within a short time span since our national launch, we have come back to our consumers with ‘Made in India’ smartphones. This is in-line with our long-term vision for the Indian market and a step closer in achieving our goal of becoming leaders in the mid-segment smartphone category,” said Sanjay Kumar Kalirona, CEO and Director, COMIO India.
