ColorOS 13 has been announced and it is based on Android 13: Highlights and features
This Thursday, Google launched the stable version of Android 13, which has been available for developers since last month. As expected, OPPO has introduced ColorOS 13, an operating system for its devices that will be based on Android 13. The ColorOS 13 launch event took place today, and you can watch the Livestream on YouTube.
OPPO has released the release schedule for ColorOS 13, which is based on Android 13, and highlighted new features that will be included in the operating system. Early adopters of the Find X5 series may now download the beta version of ColorOS 13, which is based on Android 13.
If you recognize the situation, you are not alone. Earlier this month, OnePlus announced OxygenOS 13 with the same name. ColorOS 13 also uses this as its new language for designing apps. The Aquamorphic style provides calming aesthetics and makes the animations seem more realistic and alive. This new addition has a shadow-reflective clock, which casts shadows in the direction of the sun and moon. A new globe clock widget is included in the update to display the current time in a variety of different time zones directly from the home screen.
Performance
ColorOS 13, based on Android 13, now has huge folders on the main menu. You can swipe between the folder's pages to navigate to different apps and touch the folder's data without opening it. More tagging options for screenshots have been included in the update as well. This update also improves OPPO's multi-screen connectivity. With a linked PC, you may use many mobile applications at once.
Personalization
With ColorOS 13, OPPO is increasing its customization choices with the following features:
- More Always-On Display animated Bitmojis have been added.
- Insight Always-On Display with more personalised settings
- The Highlights section has been fine-tuned.
- The technology may suggest the greatest moments in videos and save them to Photos with one touch.
- Makes improvements to Portrait Silhouette Always-On Display, including the addition of new drawing tools and line colours.
- Privacy and Safety
The Android 13's emphasis on security and confidentiality is a major selling point. Automatic pixelation for conversation screenshots has been implemented by OPPO to protect user privacy. For security reasons, the system will routinely erase clipboard content. All data are encrypted using the Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) to keep sensitive information safe. In Kid Space, your browser will immediately transform into a kid-friendly mode.
Alternative Features
- Some examples of apps that use the Smart Always-On Display's convenience and personalization features are Bitmoji, Spotify, Swiggy, and Zomato.
- Enhanced power efficiency via improvements and power management
- The new behaviour identification tool in Quantum Animation Engine 4.0 can decipher sophisticated hand motions and provide refined user experiences.
- Lock screen order monitoring in real-time (works on some apps only)
- The system's speed, stability, battery life, and overall app experience are all enhanced by the Dynamic Computing Engine.
- It improved widget design to make information more readily available.
- Changes were made to the fonts to enhance readability.
- Updated to the most recent colour scheme, the system icons are now fully optimised.
- Support for widgets on the Home screen and improved media playback control through Quick Settings.
- Screencast optimised to fit the target screen.
- Optimized earphone connectivity for a smoother HyperBoost GPA 4.0 to keep the frame rate stable and find a balance between performance and power use in key situations.
- Now, with the help of Multi-Screen Connect, you can easily sync your OPPO smartphone with your OPPO Pad Air or your computer.
- Device Compatibility and Release Timeline for ColorOS 13
- The initial list includes 60 devices from the Find, Reno, A, F, and K series.
