OnePlus recently confirmed that its upcoming flagship smartphone will debut in China on December 4. Well, now a leak has been surfacing on the internet that is suggesting the global launch of the OnePlus 12. The smartphone is said to carry a similar design, however, hardware-wise, it could see huge upgrades.
Along with the launch timeline leak, it is also rumoured that the OnePlus 12 could go global with one more smartphone. Basically, the leak mentions the “OnePlus 12 Series”, meaning there could be more than one smartphone. Now, either there might be a ‘Pro’ or the ‘OnePlus 12R’. Usually, the R model launches in a month or so after the OnePlus numbered series rolls out.

According to a tipster known as Max Jambor, the OnePlus 12 series will launch globally in January. This means the OnePlus flagship smartphone could arrive early this year. With the global launch, I am hoping the OnePlus 12 will also debut in India as well.

OnePlus 12 expected specifications
As for the specifications, the brand has revealed a big upgrade to the OnePlus 12’s display. The smartphone will be equipped with an OLED display that has 2600 nits of peak brightness. Further, the display will also come with a 2,160Hz PWM dimming. However, the size of the display has not been disclosed but we are expecting it to be the same size as its predecessor. The OnePlus 11 features a 6.7-inch display.
Furthermore, the OnePlus 12 will most likely be powered by the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor. However, OnePlus could finally upgrade the RAM of its numbered flagship series this time. The OnePlus 12 is rumoured to feature 12GB RAM for the base model and it can go all the way up to 24GB RAM.

For photography, the OnePlus 12 will be equipped with a Sony LYTIA camera sensor, as confirmed by the brand itself. It is rumoured to have a triple camera setup, holding a 50-megapixel OIS main camera, a 48-megapixel Ultrawide lens, and a 64-megapixel Periscope Telephoto sensor.
Talking about its battery, the OnePlus 12 will reportedly be packed with a 5400mAh battery with 100-watt fast charging support.
