Celkon launches Signature One A107 and A9+ entry-level Android smartphones

Celkon announces two Android handsets at entry-level price points, the Signature One A107 and A9,+ priced at Rs. 6,999 and Rs. 3,299 respectively

Celkon has announced two new arrivals in the entry-level Android smartphone category, the A9 and the Signature One A107. The phones have been put up for sale through online retailers in the country. The company also recently launched the quad-core Celkon A119Q Signature HD phablet in India.

The Celkon Signature One A107, priced at Rs. 6,999, will feature dual-SIM slots, and will run on the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich OS, with no details about an Android 4.1 Jelly Bean upgrade released so far. It sports a 5-inch capacitive multi-touch display (resolution not given), apart from a rear-facing 8MP camera with features like flash and digital zoom, and a 0.3MP front facing camera.

The Signature One A107 from Celkon is powered by a 1GHz dual-core processor with 512MB of RAM. The phablet will also feature a microSD card slot with an expandable storage of up to 32GB.

On the connectivity front, the Celkon it supports Wi-Fi and Bluetooth (no 3G) and is powered by a 2,100 mAh battery.

The Celkon A9 is also dual-SIM phone and runs on the Android 4.0 ICS operating system. It features a 2 megapixel rear camera, and VGA front camera. It supports Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity. The phone also comes with 256MB RAM, and expandable storage of up to 32GB. It is powered by a 1350 mAh battery and has a 3.5 inch capacitive touch screen.

Both the phones can be ordered via Snapdeal as of now and will be available from other online retailers shortly.
