Samsung seems to have become quite competitive ever since Sony announced its 48MP IMX586 sensor. The South Korean smartphone maker went on to announce not only its own 48MP GM1 sensor, but also a 64MP GW1 sensor and recently, a new ISOCELL Bright HMX sensor that packs a whopping 108 MegaPixels. Now, a tipster claims to have gotten hold of some information regarding Samsung’s upcoming lineup of A-series smartphones, which will be announced next year. As per the leaked information, the company is planning to launch at least eight new Galaxy A series of handsets, which might feature at least three cameras and go up to four sensors.
Samsung is gearing up to announce the Galaxy A21, Galaxy A31, Galaxy A41, Galaxy A51, Galaxy A61, Galaxy A71, Galaxy A81 and the Galaxy A91 smartphones, as per a recent tweet by the tipster Sudanshu Ambhore. However, we suggest you take this leak with a pinch of salt since nothing is official yet and also since some other well-known tipsters like Ice Universe seem to think the information might be fake. The tweet also details the camera configuration on the aforementioned smartphones. Going by the details, the Galaxy A91 could feature a 108MP sensor, along with a 16MP wide-angle camera, a 12MP telephoto sensor with 5x optical zoom and a ToF sensor. The Galaxy A81 might get a 64MP main sensor, along with a 16MP wide-angle camera, a 12MP telephoto sensor with either 2x or 5x optical zoom and finally, a ToF sensor.
The Samsung Galaxy A71 is said to feature a 48MP main camera, which could be supplemented with a 12MP wide, 12MP telephoto with 2x optical zoom and a ToF sensor. On the other hand, the Galaxy A61 might also come with a 48MP main sensor, 8MP wide-angle camera, 10MP telephoto with 2x zoom and a 5MP depth sensor. The Samsung Galaxy A51 might be equipped with a quad-camera setup that might consist of a 32MP main sensor, 12MP wide-angle, 12MP telephoto with 2x optical zoom and a 5MP depth sensor.
At the lower end of the spectrum is the Galaxy A21, which is said to feature a 13MP main sensor, an 8MP wide-angle camera and a 5MP sensor that is said to enable bokeh shots. The Galaxy A31 and the Galaxy A41 might sport similar 8MP wide-angle and 5MP depth sensor but get a 16MP and 24MP main sensors respectively.
