BlackBerry today launched the Z30 smartphone in India at a launch event in New Delhi. The Z30 is the largest phone ever launched by BlackBerry and sports a 5-inch display which almost puts it into the burgeoning ‘phablet’ category. The Z30 will be available in India early next week for Rs. 39,990 (a surprisingly competitive price).
The BlackBerry Z30 comes with the BB10.2 OS, the latest version of the new touch focused OS launched earlier this year. As a result, the Z30 offers the Priority Hub, a location where all of your messages and notifications across various apps are collated and can be worked with. Read: BlackBerry Z30 Review
The Z30 is powered by a dual-core Snapdragon Krait processor clocked at 1.7Ghz, 2GB of RAM and an Adreno 320 GPU. Imaging is handled by an 8MP camera that can shoot 1080p videos and a 2MP front facing camera that can record 720p videos.
The Z30 is also quite slim and light, measuring 9.4mm in thickness and 170 grams. It also offers 16GB of internal storage and support for microSD cards up to 64GB. Read: First Impressions: BlackBerry Z30 smartphone
