BlackBerry Z3 launched in India for Rs. 15,990

BlackBerry targets the mid-range segment with its latest BB10-based smartphone, the Z3.

BlackBerry has launched its latest smartphone – Z3 – in India. Priced at Rs. 15,990, the Z3 is BlackBerry's first full touch smartphone for the budget segment.

The BlackBerry Z3 features a 5-inch display 540 x 960 pixels resolution. It runs BlackBerry 10.2.1 OS, which also allows users to run Android apps. It is powered by a 1.2GHz dual-core Qualcomm MSM8230 Snapdragon 400 along with 1.5GB of RAM.

The Z3 comes with 8GB built-in storage, expandable up to 32GB via microSD. The smartphone has 5MP rear camera and 1.1MP secondary camera. In terms of connectivity, the BlackBerry Z3 supports GPRS, EDGE, 3G, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Wi-Fi hotspot, Bluetooth 4.0 with A2DP, NFC and microUSB 2.0. A 2,500 mAh battery powers the smartphone.

The BlackBerry Z3 will compete against a range of budget smartphones including the popular Moto G, Xolo Q1200 and Nokia's Lumia 630.
