BlackBerry PlayBook and Motorola Xoom available in India through HomeShop18
Homeshop18 made available the Apple iPad 2 in India 14 days before the official launch, but with a delivery time of 20 working days, and what now is a Rs. 7,000 premium. Today, it has announced the BlackBerry PlayBook, which makes us wonder if RIM will launch the tablet officially in India in a couple of weeks.
[RELATED_ARTICLE]As it stands, the 7-inch BlackBerry PlayBook will ship for free with one year international manufacturer warranty. The base 16GB model is priced at Rs. 34,999, 32GB at Rs. 41,999, and 64GB at 48,999. Not too appetizing, except for die-hard Flash 10.2 fans, with the iPad 2 already available on shelves at a lower price, and the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 expected soon. Head over to HomeShop18 to check it out.
Scoping out the site, we spotted the Motorola Xoom (Wi-Fi) tablet available as well, priced at Rs. 38,500. It’s got the same one year manufacturer warranty. A good way to get your hands on Android Honeycomb early, and once again leading us to believe Motorola will soon release it officially as well.
