Homeshop18 made available the Apple iPad 2 in India 14 days before the official launch, but with a delivery time of 20 working days, and what now is a Rs. 7,000 premium. Today, it has announced the BlackBerry PlayBook, which makes us wonder if RIM will launch the tablet officially in India in a couple of weeks.

The base 16GB model is priced at Rs. 34,999, 32GB at Rs. 41,999, and 64GB at 48,999. Not too appetizing, except for die-hard Flash 10.2 fans, with the iPad 2 already available on shelves at a lower price, and the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 expected soon. Scoping out the site, we spotted the Motorola Xoom (Wi-Fi) tablet available as well, priced at Rs. 38,500. It’s got the same one year manufacturer warranty. A good way to get your hands on Android Honeycomb early, and once again leading us to believe Motorola will soon release it officially as well.
