BlackBerry OS 10.3 leaked screenshots reveal new voice assistant
Looks like BlackBerry has made some serious efforts to bring its BlackBerry OS at par with Android and iOS.
Leaked screenshots of BlackBerry’s next OS update – BlackBerry v10.3 – have hit the Internet. The screenshots show that the update will bring a new voice assistant to compete with Google’s Now and Apple’s Siri. The update will also bring a new user interface with red and black theme. New camera features will also be included.
With the new OS update, BlackBerry’s keyboard will have a new layout and color scheme. There’s smart search also, which will be similar to BlackBerry’s traditional universal search.
The new features of the camera include a new timer, panorama mode, 720p video recording in both 30 and 60 fps and automatic HDR mode suggestion. The UI for camera has also been improved which now features a cleaner look with a single red shutter. The update will bring improvements in the overall Internet browsing speed as well as some new features such as the automatic disabling of the display when the phone is in a pocket.
The BB 10.2.3 is still in beta stages. So far, there’s no word on when the new OS will be officially released by Blackberry. However, the leaked screenshots show BlackBerry has worked to improve the OS despite poor sales figures.
