BlackBerry Curve 9360 launched in India; priced at Rs. 19,990

Research in Motion (RIM) has expanded its Curve portfolio in India with the launch of the new BlackBerry Curve 9360. Priced at Rs. 19,990, the new BlackBerry device runs on the latest BlackBerry 7 operating system.

The BlackBerry Curve 9360 comes with a 2.4-inch screen with a resolution of 480 x 360 pixels. It has a 5MP camera with flash and VGA video recording. The device has a 800MHz processor, 512MB of RAM, 512MB of storage, and a microSD/SDHC slot that supports up to 32GB. The Curve 9360 comes with built-in support for Near Field Connectivity (NFC), and also supports GPS, Wi-Fi (802.11 b/g/n), and 3G (HSDPA, 7.2 Mbps, HSUPA) connectivity.

The BlackBerry Curve 9360 also comes with a 1000 mAh lithium-ion battery, which is rated to deliver talktime of up to 5 hours and 14 days (GSM) of standby time. Check out the detailed features of the new BlackBerry device here.

Moreover, RIM has partnered with telecom operator Bharti Airtel for selling the device. Airtel will offer a Rs. 299 BlackBerry plan under which new users will get two months of free trial usage. In addition, users can make local calls for 20 paise per second and send free SMSes to any one BlackBerry number of choice for one year from the date of purchase.
