BlackBerry 10 N-series physical QWERTY keypad photo leaked
We have seen a fair amount of leaks and photographs of the upcoming BlackBerry 10 L-series handset. Now, finally, for the purists amongst us, the N-series pictures have leaked online. Well, at least the part that matters the most – the physical QWERTY keypad.
While the picture is rather blurry, what we can immediately notice is that the keypad is that the key design is very similar to the one on the Bold Touch 9900. There is that similar strip of chrome demarcating the layers. The Caps Lock and Symbol key placement is exactly the same as well, but from what we can make out, the 0 key also seems to have what looks like a voice command shortcut. Since there is nothing to compare the keyboard to in terms of size, we will reserve all judgment on that for the time being.
The BlackBerry L-series handsets are one ones that will offer the full touchscreen experience, while the N-series will follow the more traditional path offering the touchscreen physical QWERTY combo, as also seen on the Bold 9900.
With the purported leak of what is said to be the keypad that the BlackBerry 10 N-series handset will sport, it should come as a sort of hope with a bit of relief for the purists who cannot do without a QWERTY keypad, irrespective of whether there is an additional touchscreen or not. Research in Motion (RIM) will be unveiling the BlackBerry 10 hardware and software towards the end of January 2013.
