Google hosted its Made by Google event last night, where it unveiled a range of exciting new products, including the highly anticipated Pixel 9 series. While many were eager to see the latest features and improvements, there was one unexpected detail that caught everyone by surprise: the Google Pixel 9 series will not be available with Android 15.

Yes, you read that right. Despite the Pixel 9 series being Google’s flagship smartphone lineup, it will come with Android 14 out of the box. This is a bit unusual since Google typically launches its new Pixel phones with the latest version of Android. So, what’s going on?

It seems like the company is still fine-tuning the new operating system. Google might want to avoid potential issues that could arise from rolling out a new version of Android too soon, especially on their most important devices.

For users, this means that they’ll have to wait a little longer to experience Android 15 on the Pixel 9 series. In the meantime, the Pixel 9 series still offers plenty to get excited about. With improved camera capabilities, better performance and more, the phones are designed to deliver a top-notch experience.

So, while it may be a bit disappointing that the Pixel 9 series did not launch with Android 15, you will still be getting a powerful and feature-packed device.
