US-based Science and technology company Azoi has introduced a new health monitoring case called ‘Wello’ for the Apple iPhone 4S, iPhone 5 and iPhone 5S smartphones. The case is also compatible with Android phones with Bluetooth Low Energey (LE) and KitKat. Priced at Rs. 12,350, the Wello health monitoring case is up for pre-booking at the company’s official website.
The polycarbonate case enables users to track human metrics such as heart rate, blood pressure, temperature and more. The Wello has a slim design with built-in Bluetooth functionality. It also features a microprocessor along with two sensors on its rear. Users can check their health metrics by placing two fingers over designated holes placed on the rear of the case.
The information it reads is sent to your device and shown in a companion app. Users can connect the case with other health and fitness devices, starting with Fitbit trackers via Fitbit’s open API. Wello’s rechargeable battery gives back up of up to two months if used on a daily basis. The case uses a proprietary port and charger. There is a power switch to power up the case.
“We have effectively put health monitoring equipment, which typically sits on carts in doctor’s offices and hospitals, into a highly convenient and accessible mobile case,” says Hamish Patel, founder and CEO of Azoi.
