Asus ZenFone Live is now official with real-time beautification feature
The Asus ZenFone Live's BeautyLive app allows users to stream live on YouTube or Facebook by applying custom filters.
The Asus ZenFone Live is the newest addition in the Taiwanese smartphone maker's ZenFone lineup. The smartphone was leaked a few days back in the form of ZenFone 3 Go. The highlight of the device is a new, real-time beautification feature, which will enhance selfies and livestream videos.
In terms of specifications, the Asus ZenFone Live features a 5-inch 720p display and 75 percent screen-to-body ratio. The handset is powered by a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon chipset coupled with 2GB RAM and 16GB/32GB native storage. Asus is not mentioning the chip model here, but it is likely to be the Snapdragon 410.
With ZenFone Live, Asus is not going after the hardware but the focus is entirely on the camera department. The smartphone features a 13MP primary camera with f/2.0 aperture, autofocus and LED flash. The front camera is a 5MP one with f/2.2 aperture and 1.4micron pixel size. The major differentiator with these cameras is the real-time beautification mode.
The Asus ZenFone Live comes with a BeautyLive app that allows users to stream live while also applying a beautification filter. This is a first among smartphones, and will definitely appeal to users who livestream videos from their smartphone. The BeautyLive app allows users to stream on YouTube or Facebook Live, with filter effects. The Asus ZenFone Live runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow with ZenUI 3.0. The handset houses a 2650mAh battery, and will be available in gold, pink and blue colour options. Asus is not revealing the pricing or availability, but we should get to know such details soon, at MWC.
