Asus has launched a new variant of its Zenfone smartphone in Malaysia. Called the Zenfone C, codenamed ZC451CG, the smartphone is priced at MYR 349 which is roughly Rs. 6,000.
The Zenfone C is said to be a new variant of its Zenfone 4 smartphone. The smartphone features 4.5-inch FWVGA display, while the Zenfone 4 has a 4-inch display. It runs Android KitKat with ZenUI. It is powered by an Intel Atom Z2520 processor along with 1GB of RAM.
The smartphone sports 5MP rear camera and VGA front facing camera. The ZenFone C has 8GB of internal storage, supports expandable storage up to 64GB using a microSD card. Connectivity options include e3G, Wi-fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 and A-GPS. The smartphone is powered by a 2,100 mAh battery.
There's no word on whether the Zenfone C will be launched outside Malaysia. It may be recalled Asus had recently launched a new variant of Zenfone 5 in India.
