Asus ZenFone 5 Lite with four cameras leaked in press renders ahead of MWC 2018 launch
The leaked image of the Asus ZenFone 5 Lite shows off a dual camera setup at the front as well as the back of the smartphone. The leak also mentions that the smartphone will sport an FHD+ display.
Asus is expected to launch a flurry of smartphones at the upcoming Mobile World Congress 2018. The Asus smartphone launch event is set for February 27. The invite for the event all but confirms the launch of the ZenFone 5 series of smartphones and now, a new leak by tipster Evan Blass shows off one of those smartphones in Asus’ 2018 lineup. Blass has leaked the image and certain specs of a device called the ZenFone 5 Lite. The smartphone is seen bearing a quad camera setup – two cameras at the front and two at the back. The leaked image shows that the ZenFone 5 Lite sports a vertical dual-cam setup at the back, below which rests the fingerprint sensor. The two cameras at the front are situated on either side of the top speaker grille, along with a front-facing flash.
Needless to say, the Asus ZenFone 5 Lite will focus its strengths on the camera department. If the leak is to be believed, the ZenFone 5 Lite will feature dual 20MP front-facing cameras for selfies along with two 16MP rear cameras. The leak of the smartphone does not go a long way in confirming other specs, but mentions that the ZenFone 5 Lite will feature an FHD+ display. No display size is mentioned, but according to previous reports circulating the web, the device will feature a 6-inch display with an 18:9 aspect ratio.
The ZenFone 5 Lite, as the name suggests, is expected to be a less powerful device compared to the ZenFone 5. The ZenFone 5 is expected to house a smaller 5.7-inch display with an 18:9 aspect ratio, dual rear cameras, Android Oreo out of the box, a microUSB port and the rare 3.5mm headphone jack.
