Asus Zenfone 3 variant with SD820 SoC, 4GB RAM spotted on GFXBench

An Asus smartphone speculated to be one of the upcoming Zenfone 3 smartphones was spotted on GFXBench. The phone sports the model number Z016D, and is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 SoC with 4GB of RAM. The device may also offer 128GB of storage and might come with 21MP and 8MP cameras. The phone runs on Android Marshmallow v6.0.1. The display size for the device is listed as 13.8-inches, which is highly unlikely. However, 13.8cm is roughly 5.5 inches, which seems more probable.
Two Asus phones believed to be variants of the Zenfone 3 were spotted on GFXBench in January this year. The two devices supported model numbers Z010DD and Z012D. The Asus Z010DD is listed has having a 5.9-inch HD display and is powered by a 1.5GHz octa-core SoC with 3GB of RAM. It may also offer 13MP and 5MP cameras. The Asus Z012D seems to be the higher-end variant of the two. As per the listing, the phone is powered by a 1.7GHz Snapdragon 650 SoC with 3GB of RAM.
Asus has been teasing Zenfone 3 smartphones for a while now. A few days ago, Twitter user @krispitech leaked some information about the upcoming devices. As per his posts, the phone should be available in three variants, two with 4.5-inch and 5-inch displays respectively, while the third may feature a 5.5-inch or 6-inch displays. Furthermore, the top-end variant of the Asus Zenfone 3 might feature 23MP and 8MP cameras, and may be available in five colour variants. Asus is expected to unveil its Zenfone 3 series of phones on May 30.
