Asus says it isn’t ending Zenfone smartphone line, contrary to rumours
Asus made sure that Zenfone and ROG are not going anywhere.
The company also promised new devices in 2024.
The Zenfone 10 is powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 paired with up to 16GB RAM.
Recently, a report claimed that Asus will discontinue its Zenfone lineup after making 80 Zenfone devices in total. However, the next day, Asus sent a PR to the publications which claimed that the company is not stopping Zenfone line and the report of its discontinuation is not true. Although, the company might have changed the system in June because of the first quarterly loss in over four years.
A Taiwanese publication, TechNews, has claimed Zenfone's discontinuation. Furthermore, the publication also claimed that Asus is going to move their Zenfone employees to the ROG line. The report further added, the company will also do some lay-offs from the PC segment. While opposing the Zenfone discontinuation report, the company hasn’t said anything about the lay-offs yet. So for now, Asus made sure that Zenfone and ROG are not going anywhere, and also promised new devices in 2024 in PR.
