Asus has released the ROG Phone 5s and ROG Phone 5s Pro in India. This is a slight upgrade over the regular ROG Phone 5 lineup with a newer chip and better responsive display. The company has updated the processor to the Snapdragon 888+ and the screen now supports a 360Hz touch sampling rate. It has the same 6000mAh battery, 65W charging support, Android 11 with ROG UI, 64MP triple camera setup, a glass plus aluminium build material, and slick design elements to entice the gamers. Asus ROG Phone 5s and ROG Phone 5s Pro offer a 6.78-inch FHD+ E4 AMOLED screen with a 144Hz refresh rate and 360Hz touch sampling rate. You get Corning Gorilla Glass Victus protection on top. The devices also sport an optical under-display fingerprint scanner.
The phones have thick bezels at the top and bottom which should endow a comfortable landscape handleability. Besides, in that black forehead of the phone resides a 24MP selfie shooter. The rest of the cameras situated by the back are a 64MP primary sensor, a 13MP ultrawide snapper, and a 5MP macro module.
At the core, both devices run Qualcomm Snapdragon 888+ chipset coupled with LPDDR5 RAM, UFS 3.1 storage, 6000mAh cell (split in two inside) that can be topped up by a 65W Quick Charge 5 and PD 3.0 supported adapter.
Other shared specifications are a secondary PM OLED screen (presenting notification alerts and custom logos), air triggers, rear capacitive touch buttons (only on Pro) 5G, dual 4G VoLTE, dual front-firing stereo speakers, 3.5mm headphone jack, WiFi 6e, Bluetooth 5.2, NFC, side-mounted USB-C 3.1 port, a USB-C 2.0 port at the bottom, Android 11 based ROG UI, and a bunch of accessory support.
