Asus Pegasus X002 with 64-bit SoC, 2GB RAM debuts in China
The Asus Pegasus X002 is set to compete against a range of high spec'd Android smartphones including the Redmi 1S and Note.
Asus has launched a new smartphone – Pegasus X002 – in China. Priced at CNY 799 (Rs. 8,000 approximately), the new Asus smartphone is expected to compete with Xiaomi's smartphones.
The Asus Pegasus X002 has a 5-inch 720p display. It is powered by a 1.5GHz quad-core MediaTek 64-bit SoC along with 2GB of RAM. The smartphone runs Android 4.4 KitKat with Asus Zen UI on top.
The Pegasus X002 has an 8MP rear camera with LED flash and 5MP front facing camera. It comes with 16GB internal storage, expandable up to 64GB. Connectivity options include dual-SIM functionality, TD-LTE and GSM networks. It is powered by a 2500 mAh battery.
There's no official word on global release of the smartphone, but we expect Asus to launch it in emerging markets such as India.
