Asus launches 6 new smartphones under its Zenfone 3 lineup in India
Prices of the ZenFone 3 lineup start at Rs. 18,999, and along with the phones, the company unveiled the ZenBook 3 laptop and Transformer 3 Pro 2-in-1
Asus has launched its new Zenfone 3 lineup in India consisting of six smartphones. This includes the two variants of the standard ZenFone 3, and the Deluxe, as well as single variants of the Zenfone 3 Laser and the ZenFone 3 Ultra. Further, the company also unveiled the ZenBook 3 laptop and the Transformer 3 2-in-1 in India. The standard Zenfone 3, and the Laser is available for purchase, while the Deluxe and Ultra variants will be available from next month. The ZenBook 3 and Transformer 3 Pro will be launched in Q4 this year.
The standard Asus ZenFone 3 is available in two variants. The variant with 5.2-inch FHD display, 3GB RAM, and 32Gb of storage is priced at Rs. 21,999. The other sports a 5.5-inch FHD display, 4GB RAM and 64GB of storage is priced at Rs. 27,999. Both devices are powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 SoC and offer a 16MP primary camera with PixelMaster 3.0 and TriTech autofocus. The TriTech technology automatically selects between laser autofocus, PDAF, and continuous autofocus for faster focusing speeds. It also comes with an 8MP primary camera and runs ZenUI 3.0 based on Android Marshmallow v6.0.
The Asus Zenfone 3 Laser is priced at Rs.18,999 and features a 5.5-inch Full HD display, and is powered by a Snapdragon 430 SoC with 4GB of RAM. The camera centric smartphone sports a 13MP primary camera with a laser autofocus, which the company claims can focus in just 0.03 seconds. The phone is also equipped with an 8MP front camera, 32GB storage, 3000mAh battery, and runs ZenUI 3.0.
The flagship of the lineup is the Asus ZenFone 3 Deluxe which is priced at Rs, 49,999. The device sports a 5.7-inch Full HD Super AMOLED display, and is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 SoC with 4GB of RAM. At the back of the device is a 23MP camera with PixelMaster 3.0 and TriTech autofocus. The rear camera also features Sony’s IMX 318 sensor and 4-axis OIS. Like the standard ZenFone 3, the device also comes with an 8MP front camera, 3000mAh battery, and runs . Rest of the specifications include an 8MP front camera, 64GB of storage and a 3000mAh battery. The phone also runs ZenUI 3.0. Asus also launched another variant of the phone that runs the new Snapdragon 821 SoC and is the first device to be powered by Qualcomm’s new processor. Like the standard Deluxe variant, it offers 6GB of RAM, but comes with 256GB storage. This variant of the phone is priced at Rs. 62,999.
The Asus ZenFone 3 Ultra is priced at Rs. 49,999 and features a large Full HD display. The device packs a Snapdragon 652 SoC with 6GB of RAM. Like the ZenFone 3 Deluxe, the phone also offers a 23MP primary camera with TriTech autofocus and an 8MP front camera. It also comes with 64GB of storage, a large 4600mAh battery as well as Hi-Res Audio.
The Asus ZenBook 3 packs an Intel Core i7 processor with 16GB of RAM and 12.5-inch Full HD display. The laptop offers 512GB SSD storage and runs Windows 10. The Transformer 3 Pro is a 2-in-1 that comes with a 12.6-inch WQHD display with a resolution of 2880 x 1920 pixels. It’s powered by an Intel Core i7 processor with 16GB of RAM and runs Windows 10. The two devices are priced at Rs, 1,47,999, and Rs. 1,44,999 respectively.
