The iPhone SE is one of the hottest selling iPhones in India thanks to its more affordable price tag when compared to the other iPhone models on sale today. It was already known that Apple would assemble the iPhone SE 2020 in India, and it looks like you will be able to purchase an iPhone SE 2020 with the “Assembled in India” tag in the coming weeks.
Apple has told Digit, “iPhone SE packs our most powerful chip into our most popular size at our most affordable price and we’re excited to be making it in India for our local customers.” The iPhone SE 2020 will be the sixth iPhone to be assembled in India. Apple has been making the iPhone SE (first generation), iPhone 6S, iPhone 7, iPhone XR, and iPhone 11 in India.
Speaking of the iPhone SE, the smartphone has the outer shell of the iPhone 8 with IP67 water and dust resistance, and the small 4.7-inch Retina HD Display. Apple is gearing up to launch its next-generation iPhone, the iPhone 12 in India in October 2020. While Apple has confirmed the next iPhone would be delayed due to the ongoing pandemic, it isn’t clear how many next-gen iPhones Apple has planned. Information circulating the internet also suggests that Apple is planning to roll out its made in India iPhone 12 by the middle of 2021.
