The iPhone 6S may be accompanied by a new Apple TV and WatchOS as well.

The 2015 version of Apple’s iPhone, expected to be called the iPhone 6S, may be launched on September 9. According to a report by BuzzFeed News Company, sources familiar to Apple’s plans say that the company is scheduling an event for September 9. According to the report, Apple is planning to host the event on the week of September 7, with September 9 being the likeliest date. In it, Apple is expected to launch at least two new iPhones and maybe even a new Apple TV device. There have also been reports about a 4-inch iPhone, but that seems quite unlikely.

Apple’s next iPhones — iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus — have been leaked and rumoured for a while now. The Cupertino, California based company is expected to bring the the force touch technology, introduced in the new Macbook, to the iPhone this time. In addition, Apple is also rumoured to be fitting a 12MP camera sensor on the next version of its iPhone. This wouldn’t be surprising, since many Android OEMs, including Samsung, have surpassed Apple’s camera this year. The iPhone’s camera was until very recently, considered to be the best in the smartphone market, but now, even companies like ZTE and Huawei have surpassed it.

Further, there have also been reports about Apple talking about the Apple Watch on its September 9 event. The wearable device, which is Apple’s first, may be getting upgrades to its operating system, adding support for native WiFi connectivity on the Watch. A 12-inch iPad Pro has also been rumoured.

Of course, none of this is confirmed by the company seen, but September 9 is around the time that Apple usually launches the iPhone. In addition, if that indeed is the date, then we should known soon, considering there’s less than a month left. Apple has recently put a dent on the sales of Samsung’s Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge, and would be looking to continue the same this year.
