Apple withdraws iOS 8.0.1 bugfix update due to bugs
Apple has withdrawn the iOS 8.0.1 update after users report issues. Incidentally, update was supposed to be a bugfix.
Apple, which recently released the latest update to iOS 8 on Wednesday, namely version 8.0.1, has now withdrawn the update. Apple abruptly withdrew the update after many users who updated their devices started facing security and reception problems.
The latest iOS update 8.0.1 was reported to drop cellular reception and the affected devices were unable to restore the reception even after toggling airplane mode or switching the phone off and on again. Some users also reported problems with the phone’s Touch ID sensor.
After people started tweeting about the bugs in the new update, Apple withdrew the update. As of now the best solution to this is to downgrade your device to the previous update and wait for the next bug fix update.
It seems like Apple was in a hurry to fix a slew of issues birthed by the iOS 8 update and in that hurry, goofed up. We will keep you posted if Apple releases a new update to address the iOS 8.0.1 issue.
