Apple sends invite for Sep 9 event; new iPhones and iWatch expected
The company is expected to unveil the new generation iPhones along with the new smartwatch which many are calling the iWatch.
Apple has sent out invitations for a September 9 event where the company is reportedly going to unveil the new iPhones and its first smartwatch dubbed as the iWatch.
"Please join Apple on September 9 for a special event," says the invitation. "Wish we could say more."
It has been widely expected that the Apple will launch the next generation iPhones in September this year. According to rumours, Apple is likely to release a 4.7-inch as well as a 5.5-inch smartphone, which will be the company's first phablet.

While there's already a lot of buzz around the new iPhones, many are looking forward to Apple's iWatch. According to the recent rumours, the Apple smartwatch will feature HomeKit function on Apple's new operating system. It will also support Apple's Health app.
Apple is unlikely to showcase new tablets at the event. Looking at the trends, the Cupertino company has held separate events to launch the iPads. The company is reportedly gearing up to launch a 12.9-inch tablet in early 2015.
