Apple’s iOS 7 FaceTime icon gets revealed with trademark filing
Apple files a trademark application for its new green FaceTime icon.
Apple recently introduced iOS 7 at WWDC 2013. The company has now filed a trademark application for their redesigned “FaceTime” icon under number 85968558 for its new iOS 7. This may be just the beginning by Apple for numerous trademark filings that will cover the other new icons.
Mikey Campbell reports for AppleInsider stated that “With iOS 7, Apple will introduce FaceTime Audio, a first-party voice over IP extension of the company’s video calling service that could disrupt the mobile industry by bringing free long distance and international calling to iPhone users around the world.”
The new Facetime audio feature allows users to make calls from their apple phones over Wi-Fi or a mobile service provider’s data connection.
Apple iOS 7 has added some more unique features like Control Center, which are new settings that can be accessed quickly from anywhere in the UI just by swiping up from the bottom of the screen. It gives you quick access to settings like Airplane Mode, Brightness levels, Wi-Fi, AirPlay, and much more.
The Today feature gives you notifications in just a glance about important meetings, events, traffic, etc. The user can access the notification Center from the Lock screen easily.
The iOS 7 has a new Camera app with filters that allow real-time photo effects. It has the square camera option that allows you to easily switch between four camera modes – video, photo, square and panorama.
The new Apple iOS 7 will be launched “this fall”. Apple has stated that the new update will be launched first for the iPhone 4, then iPad 2 and later on for the iPad mini and iPod touch (fifth generation).
