It has been just over two months since the release of iOS 8 and Apple has released fifth update to the operating system.

Apple has released a new iOS update – version 8.1.2 – for the iPhone, iPad and iPod touch devices. The new update brings bug fixes and “addresses a problem where ringtones purchased through the iTunes Store may have been removed from your device.”

Apple has also shared a dedicated url – itunes.com/restore-tones – for helping users retrieve ringtones. The latest iOS 8.1.2 is the fifth update for iOS devices ever since iOS 8.0 made its debut about two months ago.

The last update, released in mid November, brought performance improvements on devices such as the iPhone 4S and iPad 2.  The iOS 8.1.1 update also brought bug fixes and stability.

Apple had launched the iOS 8 update in September this year, touting it as the biggest update since the App store. Apple soon launched another update, version iOS 8.1, which brought Apple Pay support for iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus, updates to photos and messages and Wi-Fi performance improvements.
