Apple has rolled out iOS 8.1.1 update for iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch devices. The latest update focuses on bug fixes, stability and performance improvements for older generation Apple devices such as the iPad 2 and iPhone 4S.

Apple had released iOS 8.1.1 beta update to developers earlier this month. The latest update is available immediately over the air. The update does not bring any new features, which have been rumoured to be part of the iOS 8 update. According to reports, Apple will be rolling out new and major features along with iOS 8.2 or iOS 8.3 updates.

Apple had launched the iOS 8 update in September this year, touting it as the biggest update since the App store. Apple soon launched another update, version iOS 8.1, which brought Apple Pay support for iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus, updates to photos and messages and Wi-Fi performance improvements.  Also read: iOS 8: Huge for developers, not yet for you and iOS 8: 13 important features
