HIGHLIGHTS

Apple pointed out that the iPhone 15 and the iPhone 15 Pro could get warmer than usual during the initial days of setting up and/or restoring it.

A bug has been recognised in iOS 17 that could also be a reason behind iPhone 15’s high temperatures.

Many users said that it was possibly due to the new titanium chassis as it is a good conductor of electricity.

With the release of the iPhone 15 series last month, everyone is talking about it. But mind you, all the chatter is not good. As soon as people started to use the new iPhone 15, the heating issue has been “trending” on social media, some even going to lengths of saying that it burns fingers. And since that was trending, people started to guess what the reason could be. Most said that it was possibly due to the new titanium chassis as it is a good conductor of electricity.

The California-based tech giant recently revealed that there could be quite some reasons behind the heating issues that users are facing with the new iPhone 15s. They pointed out that the iPhone 15 and the iPhone 15 Pro could get warmer than usual during the initial days of setting up and/or restoring it.

This could be because there’s an increased background activity. Apart from this, a bug has been recognised in iOS 17 that could also be a reason behind iPhone 15’s high temperatures. For this, Apple will soon roll out a new update that should resolve the heating issue but won’t affect the performance at all.

In a statement given to CNET, Apple said, “The device may feel warmer during the first few days after setting up or restoring the device because of increased background activity. We have also found a bug in iOS 17 that is impacting some users and will be addressed in a software update. Another issue involves some recent updates to third-party apps that are causing them to overload the system. We’re working with these app developers on fixes that are in the process of rolling out”.

So now we should wait and see if this issue will get resolved with the software update or not.
