Apple is one of the most popular smartphone brands across the world. But for most people, it is often a bucket list dream. To deal with that segment, Apple introduced the iPhone SE in 2016. This was a comparatively more affordable alternative. The last iPhone SE 4 was launched in 2022, and fans have been waiting for a new model ever since. Now, if rumours are to be believed, Apple is probably working on a new iPhone SE model.
iPhone SE4 rumoured specifications
We might get to see some major upgrades this time. Speaking of the design, the iPhone SE 4 could pack a design similar to that of the iPhone 14. We might get to see a 6.1-inch LTPO OLED display and, for the first time in the SE series, it might support Face ID too. It can be powered by an A16 Bionic chip. Further, it can have Apple’s in-house 5G modem. With iOS 18, it might also get AI features.
On the camera front, it might house a 48-megapixel main camera. And lastly, the iPhone SE 4 might run on a 3,279mAh battery and hold a USB Type-C charging slot.
The upcoming iPhone SE variant is expected to drop in the first half of next year, as per rumours. But it is not going to be all fun and games. It is expected that this time Apple will increase the prices of the SE variant too. The prices are expected to be around $500 which is approximately Rs 41,000, according to tipster J.Reve. For context, the iPhone SE 3 was launched at USD 429, around Rs 35,000.
But if I were you, I would take this news with a pinch of salt. Apple is yet to confirm the news and there’s still a lot of time before the anticipated launch. So a lot might change.
