Apple may launch two variants of iPhone 7, not three

Apple may launch two variants of the iPhone 7 this year and not three. According to a tweet by Evan Blass, aka @evleaks, the company is planning to launch two devices, which are codenamed Sonora and Dos Palos. Previous reports have suggested that the company may have been planning to launch a Pro variant of the phone alongside the standard and Plus variants. The Apple iPhone 7 Pro is tipped to feature dual-rear cameras and a Smart Connector.

While it is now yet known how many variants of the upcoming iPhone will be unveiled by Apple, prices for all three of them leaked on Weibo a few days ago. As per the leak, the prices for the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus are expected to start at CNY 5,288 (approx. Rs. 53,200) and CNY 60,88 (approx. Rs. 61,200) respectively. The iPhone 7 Pro is tipped to cost CNY 7,088 (approx. Rs. 71,300) for the base variant. Apple is also expected to increase the storage in the base variants of its upcoming iPhone to 32GB.
Further, images said to be of the upcoming iPhone 7 has been posted by Dutch website Techtastic.nl. The images shows the grey variant of the upcoming device and matches up to previous leaks. This includes the redesigned antenna lines that go around the top and bottom of the device as well as the larger camera module. One of the images also shows the bottom of the phone where is no 3.5mm audio jack. In its place is a second speaker grill.
