Apple may launch iPhone SE 4 in March: Expected features, price, AI updates and more

We might not have to wait for a new iPhone till September 2025. Apple is expected to drop the iPhone SE 2 in March 2024. Barclays analyst Tom O’Mallet shared this. The iPhone SE 4 will be a budget offering from the Cupertino-based tech giant and will target those who don’t really wish to go for the premium iPhone series. Ahead of the launch, rumours have already painted a picture for us, let’s see what all we know so far.

Apple is expected to pack the upcoming iPhone SE 4 with some major upgrades, compared to the previous generation which was released in 2022. It can closely resemble the iPhone 14 in look and feel.

Expected upgrades on the iPhone SE 4

The iPhone SE 4 can feature a 6.1-inch OLED display with a notch for Face ID and a front camera. Key upgrades may include:

1) A18 chipset: The iPhone SE 4 can run on the same processor as the base iPhone 16 models. This can be coupled with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage.

2) 48MP rear camera: It can come with a 48MP camera on the rear and a 12MP front camera for sharper selfies.

3) Apple-designed 5G modem: It will offer 5G connectivity, which is a first for the SE series.

4) Larger battery: The iPhone SE 4 can pack a 3,279mAh battery, up from 2,018mAh, and a USB-C port for faster charging.

AI-Powered Features

Further, the iPhone SE 4 can offer Apple Intelligence features too. It will be the cheapest iPhone to offer Apple Intelligence. Users can get to use features like advanced Siri functionalities, predictive text improvements, and photo editing tools.

Expected Price

As far as the prices are concerned, the iPhone SE 4 can be priced around Rs 48,000- Rs 50,000.
