After the launch of the iPhone 16 series a couple of months back, all Apple fans have been eagerly waiting for the launch of the more affordable iPhone SE 4. Although Apple is yet to officially announce it, if rumours are to be believed, it can drop in the Spring of 2025. In addition to this, rumours also tell us that Apple is planning some major changes on the iPhone SE 4, compared to its predecessor. What are those? Let’s find out.
On the design front, the iPhone SE 4 can resemble the design of the iPhone 14. It can replace the older 4.7-inch LCD screen with a 6.1-inch OLED display. It can also ditch the home button and get a Face ID.
The iPhone SE 4 is expected to get some major upgrades on the camera front. It can feature a 48MP main camera and a 12MP front camera for selfies. These improvements promise a big change from the current model’s basic photography setup.

Under the hood, the SE 4 is expected to pack Apple’s latest A18 chipset. This will be paired with 8GB RAM. It will also introduce Apple Intelligence features like Writing Tools, Genmoji, Photos Clean Up, and the all-new Siri.
Aligning with the EU regulations, even the upcoming iPhone SE 4 can upgrade to the USB-C charging port and replace the lightning port. This will allow users to charge their iPhone with the same cable used for their iPad or MacBook, or any other Android device.
The iPhone SE 4 will debut Apple’s in-house modem, codenamed Centauri. It will support 5G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and GPS. This move reduces Apple’s reliance on Qualcomm.
The iPhone SE 4 is rumored to start at $499 (around Rs 49,900 in India). But for now, let’s take all of this with a pinch of salt. Apple is yet to confirm this.
