Apple's latest event, titled “Peek Performance” is now over. The event introduced the 2022 iteration of the iPhone SE (Special Edition) along with a few other products. The updated iPhone SE that brings some time-necessitated upgrades to its core internals and the cameras, while sticking to a familiar form and make-up. The key improvements include the Apple A15 Bionic processor with 5G capability and slightly better cameras.
Now, Cupertino has kept the price low for this one just enough to make it appealing to budget-conscious prospects.
You can grab the 2022 iPhone SE in Midnight (Black), Starlight (White-ish) and Product Red colors. Prices start at $429 in the US for the 64GB variant. In India, this variant is priced at ₹43,900 for the 64GB variant. There are 128GB and 256GB storage variants too. The new iPhone SE will be available starting March 18 and Pre-orders will begin this Friday.
The Apple iPhone SE 2022 shares semblance to the iPhone 8 with its 4.7-inch thick-bezeled Retina HD LCD display and a single camera located at the back. This rear camera is a 12MP snapper with Deep Fusion, Photographic Styles, Portrait Mode, and Portrait Lighting.
The device can be unlocked via Touch ID and features iOS 15. Apple says the device will be getting updates for “years to come”. This software is laid on top of the in-house A15 Bionic chip. In case you’re wondering, yes, this is the same processor handling performance on the iPhone 13 series. Here, the speeds and feeds are aided by sub-6GHz 5G (2×2 MIMO).
As for the battery runtime, Apple notes “better battery life” on stage. It should be noted that the device is backed by Qi-certified chargers for wireless charging, as well as fast charging.
Last, but definitely not least, the device also carries things like IP67 dust and water resistance, and ‘toughest glass in a smartphone'. Other features also include Smart HDR 4, etc.
