Apple has confirmed the iPhone 16 series launch event date. The tech giant on Monday evening sent out the invites for its upcoming launch event in Cupertino, California. Apple’s iPhone launch event for 2024 is scheduled for September 9, where it is expected to launch four new iPhones along with the next-gen Apple Watches and AirPods. This is one of the most awaited and hyped iPhone launch events in a long time.
It’s equally important for Apple as well. The general belief is that Apple has been left behind in the AI race by Samsung and Google. Interestingly, both these companies have already launched their AI-heavy flagship phones for 2024 before the iPhone 16 series. So, it’s time for Apple to demonstrate its AI capabilities now and hopefully, we will get a deeper view into iPhone-ChatGPT integration as well.
When and where to watch iPhone 16 series launch?
Apple will host the iPhone 16 series launch event at 10:00 AM Pacific Time (10:30 PM IST) at Apple Park, California. Apple CEO Tim Cook will start the keynote as other Apple executives will take us through all the major Apple devices. The live streaming of the iPhone 16 launch event will be available on Apple’s YouTube channel.
What to expect from Apple launch event
Apple is expected to unveil the latest iPhone 16 models, Watch Series 10, Watch Ultra 3, and AirPods 4. The iPhone 16 series will have four models like last year. These will include – iPhone 16, iPhone 16 Plus, iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max. All these devices should be available for sale immediately after the launch. All of them should also bring significant upgrades over the previous generation Apple devices, including better chipsets, cameras, and battery backup.
iPhone 16, Plus, Pro, Pro Max: Price details
While the official prices of all these devices will be announced during the event, a recent report by Apple Hub claims that the base iPhone 16 model will be priced at $799, which translates to around Rs 67,100 in India. The iPhone 16 Plus is expected to be priced at $899, or roughly Rs 75,500. The iPhone 16 Pro is tipped to be priced at $1,099 (around Rs 92,300) for the 256GB variant and the iPhone 16 Pro Max is said to start at $1,199 (approximately Rs 1,00,700) for the same storage capacity.
