Apple iPhone 7c set for mass production next month
Apple iPhone 7c is likely to have a 4-inch display, and cost around $400-$500.
Apple will not be launching a new phone any time soon, but the rumours surrounding the upcoming phones are coming in every few days. In a latest rumor, it is reported that Apple might be going ahead with the mass production of iPhone 7c or 6c in the next month. The phone has been in the rumours since last six months. Earlier, it was expected that Apple might launch the phone alongside the iPhone 6s, but new rumours suggest that we might not see the phone till April next year.
iPhone 7c or 6c (either way) is expected to be the smaller and more affordable variant of the iPhone 7, due in September 2015. The phone is likely to have the same specs as the iPhone 6s, but may come with smaller storage option. According to Mydrivers, the phone will have a smaller design, something along the lines of the iPhone 5s, and will come in three colour options. If rumours are to be believed, the phone is likely to have a 4-inch display with a 2.5D curved glass on top of it. Also, going by what Apple did with the iPhone 5s, the 7c is likely to bring a similar spec sheet to the iPhone 6s. Rumours also suggest that the price of the phone could be around $400-$500.
Apple is also expected to launch the iPhone 7 next year at its annual event. Latest reports suggest that the phone might use an OLED display for the first time. Recently, it was also stated that Apple is in talks with Samsung and LG for the same. The report, which came out today, suggest that both LG and Samsung are planning a capital expenditure of KRW 15 trillion (Rs. 84,943 cr). Another update on the upcoming iPhone 7 suggests that it might not have antenna stripes and could also be waterproof.
