Apple iPhone 7 pre-orders may start from September 9
Evan Blass had earlier tipped the device to be release in the week of September 12
The Apple iPhone 7 is one of the most hotly anticipated devices lined up this year, and Evan Blass, has suggested that the phone might be up for pre-order on September 9. The leakster posted a tweet which stated, “Confirmed: Pre-orders start on the 9th.” Blass had earlier tipped the device to be released in the week of September 12, and later specified the date to be September 16. This matches up to the launch of the iPhone 6S and 6S Plus, which were also launched on the same day last year.
While rumours of Apple launching a Pro variant of the phone alongside the standard and Plus have been swirling around for bit, Blass says that the company will launch two devices. However, images purported to be of the iPhone 7 Pro have been posted online, and it is speculated to feature dual-rear cameras. Further, prices for all three variants of the phone have also been leaked on Chinese microblogging website, Weibo. Reports also suggest that Apple may increase the storage capacity in the base variant of the iPhone 7 to 32GB.
However, before you get all excited for the new iPhones, noted analyst Ming-Chi Kuo of KGI securities has predicted that the upcoming device will not have too many new features to excite buyers. This would lead to a decline in sales figures. However, Apple CEO, Tim Cook has said that the new phone will have features “you just don’t even know you need.”
Confirmed: Pre-orders start on the 9th. You can extrapolate the launch event date from there. https://t.co/gwoPzIM1dI
