Apple iPhone 6s, iPhone 6s Plus receive up to Rs. 22,000 price cut in India
The iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus will now be cheaper by up to Rs. 22,000, following the launch of Apple’s latest flagship iPhone 7.
In a move that was expected of the Cupertino tech giant, prices of the iPhone 6s and the iPhone 6s Plus have been slashed by as much as Rs. 22,000. This is Apple’s highest price cut on any iPhone in India till date. The price drop of Apple’s previous gen flagships comes just days after the company announced the launch of the new iPhone 7.
So if you are looking to pickup the iPhone 7’s predecessors, you can now buy an iPhone 6s 128GB at an MRP of Rs. 60,000 instead of its previous purchase price of Rs. 82,000. The iPhone 6s Plus 128GB will also receive the Rs. 22,000 price cut, bringing its value down to Rs. 70,000. The smaller 4-inch iPhone SE will also see a price drop from Rs. 49,000 to Rs. 44,000. With the prices of the iPhone 6s and 6s Plus coming down, Apple enthusiasts can consider buying the devices given all the upgrades they can get on them with Apple’s new iOS 10 software update.
Although Apple has dropped the prices of these devices, it may take some time for re-sellers and ecommerce players to start selling them at the revised prices. On the other hand, the iPhone 7 is also slated to arrive in India on October 7, and the smartphone will start selling at Rs. 60,000 at the time time of launch.
