Apple recently unveiled the most awaited smartphone series of the year, the iPhone 15 series. The iPhone 15 series includes four smartphone models: iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Plus, iPhone 15 Pro, and the high-end iPhone 15 Pro Max. Now, while sharing thoughts on the iPhone 15 series’ first weekend pre-order, a well-renowned supply chain analyst claimed that the demand for the iPhone 15 Pro Max “is robust”, outpacing the iPhone 14 Pro Max smartphone model.
In a Medium post on September 17, supply analyst Ming-Chi Kuo said, “Demand for the iPhone 15 Pro Max is robust, as previously expected, outpacing last year’s iPhone 14 Pro Max.”

Kuo further mentioned that demand for the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus is “roughly on par with last year.”
Also, the demand for the iPhone 15 Pro is lower as compared to last year, with one possible reason being a shift of more premium users to the iPhone 15 Pro Max this year.

According to Kuo, wait times for the iPhone 15 Pro Max are significantly longer than for other models, but not just due to high demand.
“Current iPhone 15 Pro Max shipments are lower due to a later mass production schedule, and its current production challenges are more pronounced than other models,” he said.
Kuo believes that approximately 80 million units of the iPhone 15 will ship this year.
According to Google Trends, the iPhone 15 is the one that has been searched by most people. However, some users might also use the “iPhone 15” term to look for other models if they are not familiar with the specific names. Additionally, The Economic Times revealed in a report that the new iPhone 15 series has won many hearts. If compared to last year, about 20-25 per cent more pre-bookings have been done this year.
