September is approaching and so is the excitement for the upcoming iPhone 16 series. But ahead of that, rumours about the next iPhone series have started doing rounds on social media. There is more than a year before the iPhone 17 series drops. But we do have a certain clue about how they might end up looking. Let’s quickly take a look at what we know about this series so far.
As is the trend, Apple most likely will offer four variants with the iPhone 17 series too. But this time, the “Plus” variant can be replaced by a “Slim” variant. As the name suggests, the Slim variant might be comparatively slimmer than the regular iPhone models. The sizes of the iPhones may also vary this time. So, the standard variant can come with a 6.1-inch display, the Slim variant with a 6.6-inch display, the Pro variant with a 6.3-inch display, and finally the Pro Max variant with a 6.9-inch display.

With the top-end Pro Max variant, Apple can also introduce an improved version of the famous Dynamic Island. According to analyst Jeff Pu, the iPhone 17 Pro Max might have a ‘narrowed Dynamic Island’, which might use the new ‘metalen’ technology. It will further be used for the proximity sensor on the premium device.
Lastly, Pu also revealed that the vanilla iPhone 17 and the Slim variant could be powered by the A18 or A19 bionic chipset. On the other hand, the Pro and Pro Max might be powered by the A19 Pro chipset.
But as I always say, let’s take this information with a pinch of salt as there’s a lot of time before this iPhone series finally drops.
