Apple has added a new feature to the iTunes store. The feature is related to downloading content from the iTunes store. The new feature lets users postpone their download. The ‘download later’ option is available to users who have iTunes 11 and iOS devices running iOS 6.
The iTunes download later option is available for users who wish to download TV episodes, TV seasons, season passes, movies, movie bundles, or music box sets. The download later isn’t available in all regions. It is primarily available in countries where the iTunes store supports movies and TV shows along with iCloud support.
Users of the service will receive three options when they want to download TV series or music albums. They have the standard download option, which will download the selected file or the first episode of a TV series or the movie you wish to download. The download all button will let you download the entire TV series or the music album. The new addition, the download later button, will let you choose when you want to download the file/files. iOS device users will see the standard download now or download later option.
The download later is a feature that iTunes users have been asking for quite some time now and it is nice to see the service finally get the feature. It is convenient as it lets you queue the download of your favourite music, movie or TV show and download it at a time when your bandwidth is free; let us say when you are asleep or not at home.
