Yet another variant of the Asus Zenfone 2 has been launched. This variant comes with 4GB of RAM with 16GB of inbuilt storage. The phone is priced at $229, which is approximately Rs. 15,000. The Asus Zenfone 2 is powered by a 1.8GHz quad-core Intel Atom Z3560 SoC and runs Android 5.0 Lollipop. It comes with a 5.5-inch Full HD display with Gorilla Glass 3 protection. At the back is a 13MP camera with a 5MP front facing camera. The device comes with a 3000mAh battery.
The 4GB variant of the Asus Zenfone 2 with 16GB of internal storage is available in the U.S. for now. The Indian variant of the Asus Zenfone 2 that has the same internal storage and cost about the same has 2GB of RAM.
Asus had launched new Zenfones during their event held in Delhi last month. This included the Zenfone Selfie, Zenfone 2 Laser, and Zenfone 2 Deluxe. They also announced the Zenfone Max at the event.
Buying an Zenfone has become quite tricky to say the least. A few days ago, Asus launched the Asus Zenfone Selfie with 3GB of RAM that was priced at Rs. 17,999. Asus has another variant of the Zenfone Selfie that comes with 2GB of RAM. Asus has announced that they will be launching six to seven new Zenfones next year. This includes to different variants of the ‘mainstream’ Zenfone Laser, one Zenfone Selfie and one ‘premium’ Zenfone 2 Deluxe. They would also launch a Zenfone max and one or two models of the Zenfone Go.
Asus launched the ZenWatch 2 at the IFA held this year. The smartwatch will be available in two screen sizes: 1.63-inch and 1.45-inch. Both feature 2.5D curved Gorilla Glass 3 and will be IP67 water resistant. It will also have 4GB of built-in NAD storage and 512MB of RAM. The smartwatch will start selling in Europe in October. It will be priced at EUR 149 (approx. Rs. 11,150) for the larger variant and EUR 169 (approx. 12,700) for the smaller variant.
