The upgrade to Android Marshmallow v6.0 would add a number of features to the phone including Google Now on Tap as well as the Doze battery saving feature.
Motorola launched the Moto G Turbo Edition in India last month. The phone was pretty similar to the Moto G (3rd Gen) except for the SoC. The Turbo Edition comes with a octa-core Snapdragon 615 processor clocked at 1.5Ghz and 2GB of RAM. The device also comes with a TurboPower charger, which the company claims to offer six hours of power with just 15 minutes of charging. At the back is a 13MP primary camera with a 5MP camera in the front.
Motorola is also teasing the launch of the Moto X Force in the country. The company has posted a teaser of the phone on its official account and said that it’s ‘coming soon’. The phone comes with a 5.4-inch QHD AMOLED display which the company claims to be shatterproof. The phone uses a display technology called ‘ShatterShield’ which took Motorola three years it develop. It uses five layers to ensure that the display doesn’t crack in the event it is dropped. Aside from the shatterproof display, the phone comes with a 2Ghz Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 SoC with 3GB of RAM. At the back is a 21MP camera with a 5MP front camera. It is equipped with a 3760mAh battery and is available in 32GB and 64GB storage variants.
