ZTE V5 smartphone launched, features a 5-inch HD display, 13MP camera and dual sim functionality.

ZTE has launched a new Android-based smartphone called the V5. Priced at Rs 10,999, the smartphone is exclusively on ecommerce store Snapdeal.com.

The ZTE V5 features a 5-inch HD OGS display with 1280 x 720 pixels resolution. The V5 has a 1.2 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 400 processor coupled with 1GB RAM. The smartphone has 4GB internal memory expandable up to 32GB via microSD card support. It runs on Nubia 2.0 UI based on Android 4.4 (KitKat) OS.

The ZTE V5 has a 13 MP rear camera with LED flash with Sony EXMOR RS sensor as well as a 5 MP front camera. Connectivity options included are dual-sim (GSM+GSM), 3G, Bluetooth 4.0, WiFi and GPS. It is backed by a 2400 mAh removable battery that according to the company delivers up to 6 hours of talk time and 300 hours of standby time. The ZTE V5 is available in White colour only.

As a promotional offer, Snapdeal is offering up to 1GB 2G/ 3G data per month for the first 3 months to prepaid Aircel subscribers with every purchase of the ZTE V5 smartphone. The smartphone competes with Xiaomi Redmi 1S, Asus ZenFone 5 and Motorola Moto G in the same price segment.

Chinese telecom manufacturer ZTE is planning to launch affordable 3G and 4G smartphones in India in the price range of Rs.7,000 and Rs 18,000. The company also plans to establish a handset research and development centre in the country. According to reports the company will be launching its Nubia Z7 Max smartphone in India next month. The smartphone will be the company's first premium device for the Indian market and is expected to be priced around Rs. 25,000 (approx).
