Amazon says sorry for Micromax Yureka overpricing ‘glitch’
Amazon took to Twitter to apologize for forcing some buyers to purchase the Yureka at a higher price.
Amazon has apologised for erroneously listing the Micromax Yureka for Rs. 12,499 instead of Rs. 8,999 during the flash sale on Tuesday for some buyers. The e-retailer explained the price discrepancy as a ‘technical glitch’ on its official Twitter page and apologized to buyers who were forced to purchase the phone for the higher price. It further claimed that it was working on resolving the issue for those customers.
Apologies for the technical glitch, we're actively working on addressing this issue for impacted customers @YUplaygod pic.twitter.com/klyvp0Ioi6

Micromax is the latest company to opt for the exclusive flash sale model and subsequently go on a ‘sold out’ bragging spree. It was, of course, Xiaomi that started the trend and one could argue that the trend has evolved to become just another avenue for publicity rather than something that ends up benefiting the consumer.
The Yu Yureka is a CyanogenMod powered Android smartphone with a 5.5-in 720p display, that runs on a Snapdragon 615 octa-core 64-bit processor clocked at 1.5GHz. Micromax initially claimed that it had made 10,000 units of the Yureka available for the flash sale. It plans to hold another flash sale on Jan 22 but we don’t know how many units will be available on that day.
