Alleged Redmi K30 Pro passes 3C certification, could come with 30W fast charging support

A new Xiaomi device has been spotted passing the 3C certification. The device is a 5G smartphone and while the name of the phone is not known, it is likely to be a Redmi K30 series handset. The certification reveals that it will be the first dual-mode 5G smartphone from Xiaomi. The smartphone is allegedly stated to come with a charger with the model number MDY-11-EF (CC9 Pro). It means that the smartphone will have support for 30W fast charging.
Previously, the Xiaomi CEO confirmed that the Redmi K30 5G model will be launched this December. It is expected that Redmi may launch the Redmi K30 next month, while the Pro variant could be launched next year. The company has also already shared a partial image of the upcoming Redmi K30 smartphone, which showed that the device could come with a punch-hole display that will be pill-shaped to house two front-facing cameras.
Redmi K30 is rumoured to be codenamed “Phoenix.” The device is said to come with a 120Hz refresh rate display. A method called “isSuppotHighFrameRate” was spotted by XDA-Developers. The high refresh rate setting was forced to show up and it is defined to only switch between 60Hz and 120Hz. The new feature may debut with the Redmi K30.
Moreover, Redmi K30 is tipped to sport a side-mounted fingerprint scanner. According to the report, a new method called “isBroadSideFingerprint” has been added in the recent versions of MIUI 11. A graphic shows a generic smartphone with dual hole-punch front cameras and a right-side-mounted fingerprint scanner. You can read more about it here.
The Redmi K30 may also be the first device to sport Sony’s upcoming IMX686 image sensor that is supposed to be a 60MP image sensor. Redmi K30 will launch in December with 5G support and it will be the successor of the Redmi K20.
