The OnePlus range of flagships for next year is expected to launch sometime in Q2 2020 and the rumours have already started trickling down. A new OnePlus phone, which is alleged to be the OnePlus 8 Pro has been spotted on the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) website in China. As per the certification listing, the phone will come with dual-mode 5G connectivity with support for a range of frequency bands. To recall, OnePlus is said to launch three phones next year – OnePlus 8, OnePlus 8 Pro and OnePlus 8 Lite.
The latest piece of news comes from a tipster on Twitter who spotted the MIT listing. The listing suggests a OnePlus phone with model number IN2010 will sport dual-mode 5G connectivity. The phone is tipped to be OnePlus 8 Pro. It is tipped to support several frequency bands including n1, n41, n78, and n79. The listing reveals little else about the upcoming phone.
According to the rumours, OnePlus 8 Pro could tout a 6.7-inch curved AMOLED display with 2K resolution, similar to the OnePlus 7T Pro. It may boost up the display refresh rate to 120 Hz. However, instead of the pop-up camera, the OnePlus 8 Pro is expected to sport a punch-hole front camera. The next premium OnePlus flagship is highly likely to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 SoC. On the back, it’s rumoured to sport a 64MP primary sensor and a fourth ToF 3D sensor.
OnePlus may also launch a OnePlus 8 Lite that could be priced below Rs 30,000 in India. The OnePlus 8 Lite could come with 8GB RAM and 128GB and 256GB storage. In addition, there could be a 4,000mAh battery with 30W fast charging. The camera on the OnePlus 8 Lite is likely to be made up of a 48MP camera alongside 12MP and 16MP sensors.
