Leaked sketches of OnePlus 5 reveal dual cameras on front and back
The phone is also tipped to feature a half ceramic back, similar to the half-glass back design we saw on the Google pixel
Another day and we have another OnePlus 5 leak. Sketches of the next OnePlus phone have been spotted on Weibo, which suggests dual cameras at the front and back. The new set of images offers an early look at the upcoming smartphone and suggests that the phone may have a ceramic window surrounding the camera housing. A design similar to the one we saw on the Google Pixel, which had a half glass back. Besides that, the design looks somewhat similar to the current OnePlus 3T.
Going by previous rumours, the OnePlus 5 may feature two 12MP camera sensors at the back, but there has been no leaked information about the front facing cameras. One of the leaked sketches also shows that the phone may offer bottom mounted speakers and USB Type-C port along with the 3.5 headphone jack.
The OnePlus 5 is expected to be powered by a Qualcomm's Snapdragon 835 platform and may be offered with up to 8GB of RAM. Storage options are likely to start at 64GB, going up to 256GB. Arecent rumours also suggested that the phone might have a 3600mAh battery, which would support a newer, faster version of its Dash charging technology. The phone may carry the same metal build as the OnePlus 3, but we are not sure whether OnePlus will also launch the phone in the matte black finish, which was available for a limited time with the OnePlus 3T. As for the display, rumours suggest that OnePlus 5 may employ a 5.5-inch display with a QHD resolution.
In a related news, OnePlus has posted a teaser image on their official Weibo page with the caption "Hey Summer! Give me five!" The company has already confirmed that it will be launching the phone this summer.
