There have been rumors that Nokia was planning to launch an Android smartphone ever since it announced the N1 tablet. These images, coupled with the renders that were leaked a couple of days back, may confirm those suspicions.
According to rumors, the Nokia C1 will come with a 5-inch 720p display, 2GB of RAM, 8MP rear camera as well as a 5MP front facing camera and will be running Android Lollipop. There is also a possibility that the phone will run Nokia’s own Z Launcher layered over the OS. There is no information as to when the C1 will be announced. The N1 and the C1 won’t be Nokia’s first forays into the world of Android. The Nokia X series of Android phones utilised to open source nature of Android and could run Android apps The phones didn’t come with Google’s suite of apps like Gmail or even the Play Store so users had to sideload Android apps into their phones.
